The news distribution service fot the UK government and public sector confirmed on June 21 that there were no major changes in government activity relating to NMW. They also confirmed that ‘there should be specific guidance on the National Minimum Wage for the entertainment sector.’
This clearly indicates that the new administration intends to carry on without any major changes in the NMW laws or enforcement.
The Low Pay Commission estimates that just over 950,000 people stand to benefit from the planned October increase to £5.93/hour.
